Dutch design company, SPRANQ, have designed Ecofont. It looks like the font Verdana, but can save you ink and toner. 

At normal body text sizes (9 or 10pt), Ecofont looks no different to fonts like Verdana. Their ingenious design has holes in each character like Swiss cheese, while keeping the character's shape and form. It is only when the font is displayed at large sizes, do you see the holes.

Take 5mins to make the change

Ecofont is ideal as your default email, Notepad, TextEdit or website font. After the font is installed, simply go into the Options or Preferences for each of these applications and change the default font to Ecofont. 

Andrea Wong Design has recently changed the default font of this website, to Ecofont. This means that for those that have it installed on their computer, Ecofont will be the body text font preference.
